Return to same page in gridview

I'm trying to pass the pageindex of the gridview to the detailsview page so I can create a "back to list" button in Detailsview that will return the user back to the same page they were on.

How can I grab the pageindex and pass it in a query string.

I'm using VB.NET

one this is the classic ASP forum, secondly i guess i'm trying to figure out if you're asking how to construct a querystring, how to use the querystring, or how to retrieve the page value, of which all three are in the faqs
