My Word document has lots of hyperlinked cross-references. How do I get back to the point where I used the hyperlink? In other words, if I click on a cross-reference on page 6 that sends me to page 84, how do I get back to page 6 when I finished?
In Word 97-2003, you can enable the web toolbar, via View|Toolbars. You can delete everything except the forward & back arrows from the toolbar if you need to save space.
In Word 2007, you can add the back & forward buttons to the QAT, via Word Options|Customise > Commands Not in Ribbon.
In either case, clicking the 'back' button n times returns you to the nth previous location; pressing the forward button does the opposite.
