Return status code from external VBS ?

Hi All,
Can I return a status code from a VBS script to the DTS package that called it?

I do not have control over the DTS package, I am just providing a VBS script to automate FTP and renaming of a file and would like to be able to tell the person who sets up the DTS package how to retrieve a success/failure status if possible.

At my age I still learn something new every day, but I forget two others.
