Return rows in middle of table

All,

I have a 10,000 record table, and I would like to create queries that work within this table but only certain rows.

Query 1 - Returns rows 1-999 (easy enough)

Query 2 - rows 1000 - 1999
Query 3 - rows 2000 - 2999
etc

I do not have any record # field in the table, otherwise I might be able to work with "Count".

Any ideas?
