Return Length of a String

Simple question, but I can't find the answer anywhere in the software's help guide nor manual. I'm building an app in Access and it would be very helpful to know the length of a string. What's the command to do this?

Thanks, that sure is. I just couldn't find it anywhere in the reference books I've got. (I'm new to this and am still learning)
