We have a cover group that the operator forwards the main extension to when the main console is not occupied. We have a problem if no one in the cover group picks up, or if the caller hits 0 and transfers back to the operator. Then the main console rings until someone runs over and picks it up.

Is there a way for us to make the cover group keep ringing instead ?

You might be better served to use cover buttons on the cover group phones, (or is it calling group?) an set them to delay ring, then if someone hits voice mail, ans zeros out, they still hit the covering extensions.

I think that we are using the cover buttons as you described. Each phone that is on this group has a button programmed as "PrmryCov 600 - I".

I think I have found out where to set delay ring, but could you explain how that would keep the call from bouncing back to the operator ?

Thanks for the help !

Bill
