Hello,

I have a block of text and just want to show the first line in a query. Im struggleing to see how to do this.

Any help would be much appreciated

Thank you
Mark

First 'line' is a char sequence that end with chr(10) or chr(13)
Then left$(block_of_text,instr(block_of_text,chr(10)) i think that return a 'first line' of the block

Not necessarily. Depends on the source of the block of text. Might be a multiline textbox with wordwrap ...

Thank you kindly - sorry for my delayed resposnse, I have been a little unwell. Many thanks - Mark
