Is anyone aware of a way to cause a linked-to program to return directly to CICS?

For example, if a transaction id is typed on a blank CICS screen to start program A and program A links to program B, is there a way to return to native CICS without going back through program A?

No. A link would be an execution of Program B within Program A, and when Program B terminates, control would proceed to the very next line after the LINK in Program A.

If you wish this scenario, use XCTL within Program A. Then RETURN in Program B will cause a termination.

Measurement is not management.
