Retrieving the phone extension

I am trying to retrieve the phone extension of a Meridian 2616 equipped with a Meridian communications adapter card. I've tried AT commands but I cannot find one that will work. If I set the phone in transparent mode I can get display data.

Does anyone know of an AT command that will work? Is there some combination of keypresses that will cause the extension to be displayed?

I would appreciate any ideas.
