Retrieving recordings

I've tried looking through the posts, but my searches didn't pull anything up. I know there is a way to retrieve calls off of the tapes, and still be able to use the current tape when done. Anyone have a quick instruction on how to do this? Thanks.

No, im hearing that that is the way to go.

Do you know how much a CLS would be? Actually all I need is for the Definity to pass the VDN number to the Nice recording and I'd be all set. Will CLS allow you to do that?

well if you have the tape with the recordings on that you need the go into administrator and in the (i think) the operation menu select retrieval, depending on the number of drives you have it should eject a tape and the drive status should change to retrieval. Now run a query for the calls you need select locate and then retrieve once the calls have retrieved you can then eject the tape change the mode back to archiving and reinsert the old tape. Oh yeah and listen to the calls by selecting locate again and then play.

I would check that the definity is capable of sending VDN via the cti link and also that the NICE CLS has a VDN field.
