Retrieving message from outside system SVM

Hello all, I have a customer that I setup with an SVM on a tda50g, everything seems to work fine, customer was able to setup mailboxes and greetings just fine and calls get directed to the VM as they should but I'm having some difficulty with the ability to retrieve a message from outside the office.

I currently just have ext 101 taking the no answer and nighttime calls, once the user gets the VM greeting and I try to hit *47 and the extension # I get a tone back and it doesn't seem to recognize any other inputs. is there something else I should check? I have the extension pins setup and this is a pretty simple setup, 2 lines with the DHLC and LCOT cards that came with the system as well as the ESVM2 card and another DLC4. any help or insight would be appreciated

You have to set up a password on the phone and then you use * 47 extension number password *383 to listen to messages. It has to be allowed in settings of message card.
