Retrieving LVarchar in CR9

I have problem in displaying Lvarchar data Type in report.

i'm using ODBC with informix 9.1 Database.
None of the records displayed even though there are records in database.

i'm using IBM Informix 3.82 32 bit as driver to connect to informix database.
sometimes error likes "Unspesified System error" or else my report will hang during preview..

Do CR 9 really support LVarchar?
anybody knows how to overcome this problem??

Perhaps you can use a SQL Expression to convert it to a varchar, or convert it on the database using a view.
