Retrieving data from RAW drive...

My bos has a machine that was running win98, but the file system has been corrupted. It had a partition that is RAW that is showing up. I am trying to retrieve ACT data that was on that partition. Is this possible, or is he screwed? Thanks,

You could try slaving drive in another machine and trying a data retrieval app to see if it can find anything. There's a free one here

I think that thread Gargouille referenced mentions Winternals software too (not free, but better).

I tried the Winternals, both thru the slave drive and as a primary. Unfortuneatly, neither worked. Oh well, maybe they'll understand why I preach, BACK UP BACK UP BACK UP!!! Thanks,
