Retrieve Week No from a date input field in a form

Hi,

Could someone help please.

I have a form with an input box for a date, the date is selected via a date picker. my question is:

Can i then populate another input box with the week number referring to the date entered

As you have asked this in the ASP forum, I guess you want to do this serverside. If so just submit the form to its own page, test if date picker is populated. If so test for week number being populated. If yes redirect to next page - you're done. If no then process date to week number, fill in input box and reshow the form.

You could also achieve the same result clientside via Javascript (see forum216) or with AJAX. Both these rely on JS being enabled on the client

I will have a look at the javascript forum, I do not do a lot of scripting so it will perhaps take me a little while to grasp things.
