Hi, We use an Oracle catalog and Impromptu. I have used Visual Basic to retrieve values from an Active Impromptu Report but I want to retrieve values from the Oracle Catalog without opening an Impromptu Session. The Visual Basic Procedure is being designed to retrieve the values from the Oracle Catalog and export to a table in an existing database. Any advice on the correct method to use to retrieve this data without opening impromptu would be very beneficial and greatly appreciated!

Thank you

Why not just connect direct to your Oracle database in VB to extract your data using a standard connection method ADO or DAO for example. and pass this info to your other database. You don't need impromptu for this Gary Parker
