Retrieve RIDFLD-L in MRO evirn w/o doing read?

I need to know how to obtain the RIDFLD-L of a VSAM dsn in an MRO environment without doing the read first. We had been using INQUIRE command, but that doesn't work in MRO.

I seem to remember getting bitten by this a few years back. I think you have to specify the length explicitly in the RDO definition for the file, whereas normally you don't bother, because CICS gets it from the catalog. Assuming you use the same definition in the FOR and the AOR, then you should be able to use the INQUIRE in the AOR.
