Hi all
Have now got a couple of clients requiring support via pcAnywhere whose ASDL service providers generate different IP addresses every time they reboot and logon.
Have developed an application that retrieves the new IP address through WMI and then uses CDO to send an email back to base once the remote machine is online.
That works providing the remote machine's email address is correct, so the email address is currently hard coded for each client.
Would like to make this utility generic by retrieving a valid email address from the client machine and using that address rather than a hard coded address.
One cannot assume any knowledge of the remote machine's email client(s).
What ideas please?
TIA
