hi! all,

i use arcserve r11.5 to backup the data. I use GFS method and tape autoloader to backup data day by day. I found that there has been problem when I want to restore data. The following is my case:

I use GFS method to backup data day by day. I use the tape (said tape A) to backup 1st week data. Then, change the tape(said tape B) to backup 2nd week data.

I found that when I restore data, I only read the sessions of latest week in the version history.(ie. only see the session in tape B, cannot see the session in tape A).

How can I read the session of Tape A in version history?

thanks,

This is down to your pruning job. The prune it purging the catalogue to keep it at a reasonable size. Stick the tape you want to restore from in and run a merge, this will merge the tapes catalogue with the databases catalogue.
