Hi,
One of our users has had problems with their user account and profile, resulting in a corrupt profile. I therefore needed to create a new account replicating all the original settings.
However I left the original mailbox on the exchange server, hoping that I could reconnect the mailbox to the newly created account. I was unable to make a backup of the mailbox as BackupExec refused to connect to the exchange server (but that's a different problem). Having created the new account I was forced to create a new mailbox in the same name. I am now left with two mailboxes of the same name, one showing it contains a lot of data, the new one being empty, but outlook is choosing to access thsi mailbox.
Does anybody know a way of accessing the messages in the disconnected old mailbox and migrating them to the new mailbox. Failing this is there a way of deleting the new mailbox so the User account picks up the old mailbox?
Or is the case as I suspect that I am somewhere down a certain creek without a certain implement!
Answers on a postcard.
Thanks
