I had a user just delete an important Voice Mail message. Is there any way to retrieve a deleted voice mail message? or how can I see the Call Detail Records in the Definity without Call Accounting software?
While the user is still in the same AUDIX session they can do **U (undelete) to recover the last message that was deleted. After they log out the deleted messages are purged.
If it is important enough, restore last nights backup, you do have a nightly backup right? Just remember that if you do that, then you will loose everything since the backup.
If you were forced, and by forced I mean that the lost voicemail = $$$$$$, to restore last night's backup (assuming you have it) then follow these steps:
1) Backup Existing
2) Restore Prior Night's Backup
3) Retrieve Msg
4) Restore Backup from step 2
5) Update Resume cuz you will want to quit once they figure out they can get you to do this whenever they are boneheads.
