Retrieve date without time...

well, i cant find an xslt thread, so i will post it here...
i have this in an xml file:
<origination_dttm V="2004-10-21T13:52:06"/>
with xsl i want to show the date, but without the time, so
2004-10-21
and show it the right way:
12-10-2004
i have no idea how to get rid of the time, and how to show the date the right way.

some1 an idea?

Use substring functions to extract the date parts into variables, then rearrange them with a concat.
