Hello,

Since today I am working with Exact 7.1 for DOS. They want me to make some reports. In Exact 7.1 there is a report builder, but it is DOS-based :-(
So now my question is: Can I use CR-8 to create reports from a DOS-program?

With thanx in advance,

I have never heard of Exact, but CR can only read a few DOS based or non-ODBC systems:

Btrieve (DDF files)
Xbase (DBF files)
MS Access (MDB Files)
Paradox (DB files)

I assume that Exact is not ODBC compliant; CR can read any ODBC compliant data. Ken Hamady

It is possible to access Exact with CR. The only problem is that (as far as I know) you will have to buy this from Exact. I have never tried it with a version NOT bought at exact, maybe it is possible.

I am looking for a way to access the Exact database with ODBC. There is 1 company (I do not remember its name) wich created a tool to access Exact with ODBC..... But I will have to buy it. Because I am Dutch, I am looking for a way to get this tool for free :)

Kind regards,
