Retrieve data from a data grid

I want to let the user search a data grid (column 0) for a vendors ID and return the vendors faxnumber (column 2).

How do I find the row containing the vendor ID and then return the fax number???

Hi

I would think you would be better of using a combo box to list the vendors ID and then display the matching fax number(s). Take care when using a grid becuase if it is bound you are going to overwrite the information in the underlying table/query.

Also, is there just likely to be the ONE fax number for each
Vendor? If this is the case then you could do away with the grid altogether and use text boxes.
