Retrieve backup set?

I have a user that owns a database but do not have rights to create a database.

I have no physical access to the database server. But I need to access a previous backup set. Is it possible to copy a backup set from enterprise manager (or in any other way)?

The backup set in Enterprise Manager isn't really a backup. It's more of a 'pointer' to the backup set's location. What is your question really?

You first say this:

You can only copy the backup from the place the back is saved at.
