Retreve an outlook recod for editing

Thi smay be the wrong forum, but i have a routine that inserts an appointment onto a shared outlook calendar, and I was wondering if anyone knew how to find that record in outlook to retrieve back and edit. I have a form that does some job scheduling and when the job goes longer than expected i woul like to make the change in the access db and not have to edit the one in outlook independantly.

You may consider storing the EntryID property of the AppointmentItem object.
