retouching at what magnification?

i'm pasting many, many layers into a template and usually working with black and white. it seems that the edges of the scans "show up" when pasted. to what degree do i need to retouch them? if i can see it, it will print, right? also, what magnification is appropriate for retouching? obviously, when i up the mag, i see more, but at what % will it not translate to print? 150%, 250?
i don't mind doing the work, but yikes!

It's personal preference...
If you goto View>Print size and you can see it, then fix it.

I always zoom in to pixel size.

I also make a Final PDF to doublecheck
