I have 3 PN's, along with replacement G450 GW's. I have moved all the connections off the G650's and I'm ready to remove the PN translations. I had a very granular list on the steps to remove these, which I can't find anymore. Does anyone have a comprehensive list of the steps for this? The sections when you get to the IPSI's and the last remaining steps is where I'm lacking.

It's been a while since I've done this. There's a few pre-steps you want to do, like:
1. disable TTI
2. There's a setting for the IPSI's.. I forgot where it is.
3. Work your way through the CP's like dig / analog = busy them and physically remove them
4. Move announcements are remove Val
5. remove any ds1 translations.. busy those boards and physically remove
6. IP interfaces -- Medpro / CLAN
7. This is where I forget.. IPSI's or things like tone clock boards.. I forgot. There was an old forum called pbxtech.info that someone had posted a super granular list of the process. I think they've been shutdown for a long time now.

rem ipserver
ch circuit-pack cab x and remote all packs
rem cabinet

are the last few steps. Mess something up and the system will typically tell you something to steer you in the right direction like "must remove tone board" ......etc

I've looked through some old threads and I see a reference to the 'Ignore Connectivity in Server Arbitration'. Do I need to alter that setting? It's set to 'n' currently. I have 3 PN's and I'm looking to remove PN3 from the system. Not sure if that matters.

I'd busy out the standby before removing the PNs.
Where G650s are on CM, at least one must not 'ignore connectivity in server arbitration'.

That means if that PN is down, you're going to have CM interchanging between active and standby.

All the IPSIs except one MAY ignore connectivity, but at least one must not.

If you're on a simplex CM, it doesn't matter.

If you're on a duplex, you might cause interchanges, so just busy out the standby before and release it back into service after.

In my environment, we have 3 PN's. Each have 2 IPSI's. For this maintenance window, we are just looking to remove PN3. In this case I still have to busy out the standby server? I thought if there were other IPSI's in there, they'd not react to, say PN3's being down or whatever. When I look at the command disp ips 3.. don't touch that ignore connectivity setting and leave it to 'n'? I guess I'm more nervous about not being able to remove the board for something like that.

Appreciate all the guidance.

if its just pn3, set ignore to yes. that will make cm's arbiter not care about pn3 for interchangea.

busy the standby when you remove your last pn cause you can't set that ignore field to yes with a single pn
