Hi,

I can see retention in Media>Media pools>properties>Configuration>Retention policy and also in General tab in Client properties.
If i specify both,
which is overlooked?
which one should i specify?
can i retain data for more than 10 years with Networker?

In general, you should set the RP on the client.
However, if you want to keep specific save sets (which will normally been sent to another pool) longer (for instance a clone pool), you should modify the appropriate pool settings.

Yes, 10 years is not an issue.

if i give different RPs on both lets say 30 days(client) and 15 days(pool), which one will be over looked.

Also, how can i retain data for 15 years as i can only find decade as the greatest amount of time that i can retain the data for

From the pool's online help: The save set retention is the longer of the client and pool retention policy.

15 years? - What about creating the appropriate policy?
