I am using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro, and MS Word 2000.

I have a word document that has a table of contents, but when I convert it into a PDF I lose the links from the able of contents, so the users cannot click on the Contents heading to jump to the relevant page. I was on a course recently and raised this issue, and was shown a PDF menu in Word that had the option to Retain Links when converting, however I do not have any PDF options in my word Menu. When I convert from Word I have to either send it as a print to Acrobat, or open Acrobat and choose to create a new file from there, and I can't see any settings in Acrobat for retaining the links from Word.

The only solution I can see at the minute is to go manually through the PDF and recreating all the links again.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,
Does Word have an Adobe drop-down menu on the far right of the menu bar? If so, this is where you'll find the options you describe.

It doesn't, not for me anyway, which makes me think this is perhaps due to my version of office (2000) as I have saw this menu on other PCs running higher Office versions.
