Hi, all-
I'm desperately trying to force Excel/Access to live happily together and retain the column formatting established in a report I've created.
Generally, the report is grouped by date, with day times as the fields in each group. In Access, I've formatted the output to create (landscaped) columns left-to-right that reflect each day of the week. In other words - 7 columns with 7 column headers across the page horizontally.
It's great when printed directly from Access, but I need to be able to export to Excel and keep the columns next to one another. Currently, the data columns are ending up stacked beneath each other - vertically.
I've tried exporting to a *.txt, *.xls and have tried OfficeLinking, but no matter what I do the column formatting is vertical instead of horizontal.
EEK! Sorry for the looonnnggg question - this is making me crazy. All that programming for nothing?!
