I can't seem to figure out how to change a job so that it will keep the job log after the job completes. I'm hoping that I can just put the job queue on hold, submit the job, change it, then release the queue. I can't seem to tweak any of the parm in the CHGJOB command to get it to keep the job log after the job is completed.

Any ideas?

Thanks

CHGJOB ... LOG(4 00 *MSG)
Only the message text is written to the job log.

or

CHGJOB ... LOG(4 00 *SECLVL)
Both the message text and the message help (cause and recovery) of
the error message are written to the job log.

Same on the SBMJOB command.

Your job logs should be in the special job queue QEZJOBLOG, which is not the same place the job's other spool files will be. I prefer to work with the specific job's spool files rather than wading through job queues.
