We have an Exchange server 5.5 with more than 600 users. In future we want to have a new SMTP address. At the same time we want to retain the existing e-mail address as a secondary address. Is there a mechanism or toll that would help to implement this procedure? Manually editing each mail is a long and boring procedure.

Thanks

Just leave the other SMTP address in the mailbox account. Every user will have 2 addresses. [sub]If 'something' 'somewhere' gives 'some' error, excpect random guesses or no replies at all. Please specify details.

You can use the Directory IMPORT\EXPORT feature to load new SMTP addresses for each user in one go. Can also use it to set the new address to be the reply address therefore making the old one a secondary smtp address.
