restvg from a file

Has anyone restored a volume group from that was saved to a file using savevg ?

savevg -i -X -f /directory/server.VG

restvg is only for user VGs, not for rootvg. What do you want to do? Restore one or more files from an mksysb image? Try these smit shortcuts:
[tt]smit lsmksysb
smit restmksysb[/tt]
