Restriction List

Hi,
I am learner of Mercator . Could somebody tell me what Restriction List is? Where it is used?

A restriction list limits the valid data for a field (ie. an amount field may be restricted to numeric - alpha characters will not be valid).
Once place that has caused problems for us is the EDI element seperator. We had to expand the restriction list for processing on MVS.

Set it in the tree, in the properties area.

you can write Restriction List Variables.
