We have a group of users for whom we want to restrict access to most of the Internet, except for our own website and intranet site (which are not on the LAN). Is there a built-in way to do this on Win NT 4.0 Server?

We're running an NT 4 domain with mostly NT 4 clients, and using a Cisco PIX firewall for Internet access.

There is not a built in way to do it. However there are many third party software vendors. I use SurfControl ( which is great. It's a little pricy, but it gets the job done. You can block by category, User, group. Very effective, and what you spend on the software, you make up in productivity. There are a few other vendors that offer similar products, but with all the research I did, SurfControl is the best. Hope this helps.
