Restricting Sites

How do i restrict a website? i have tried the obvious restrict in the internet explorer options (control pannel) but it still seems to work

I also have the same question. Can anyone suggest how I can restrict specific websites through Internet Explorer 6.0 in Win2K?

Tools, Internet Options, Security, click the red circle icon &quot;Restricted Sites&quot;, add the URLs.

You can also make an entry in the HOSTS file using notepad. For example, to block

http://www.disney.com

127.0.0.1

http://www.disney.com

What this does is refers the disney web site to the local loopback address effectively denying access.

I have tried going to tools > Internet Options > Security > Restricted Sites, but that does not block the URLs I enter.
Am I skipping a step?
