I would like for everyone in my office to have to enter a code before allowing long distance calls. How would I go about doing this?

Go into programming Feature * * 266344 Password: 266344

Terminals&Sets - Press the upper right button that has lit up in your display.
Show set: ___ - Enter the extension number you want to program. i.e., 223
223:223 - Press the upper right button again
Line access - PRess the lower right button until you see
Restrictions - Upper right button
Restrn Filters - Lower right
Set Restrns - Upper right
Filters - Upper right
Normal: 02 - Press the change button that comes up in your display.
Use flt: __ - Enter 01
Normal: 01

Now this phone is restricted from all Toll calls. Filter 01 is set up by default for restricting all calls that cost money. Of course I am assuming that the filter hasn't been edited or changed in any way.

To set up a COS password - This will allow those who have the code to make long distance calls from a restricted phone.

Go back into programming

Terminals&Sets – Lower right until you see
Passwords – Upper right
COS passwords – Upper right
Show pswd #: __ - Lower right
COS Pswd #00 – Upper right
Pswd 00: None – Press the change button in your display and enter whatever 6 digits you want to be the password.
Pswd 00: 123456
Pswd 00: 123456 – Lower right
User flt: None – Press change and enter filter 00
User flt: __ - 00
User flt: 00

Now walk up to any restricted phone, press Feature 68. The date and time will go away, dial the 6 digit code. Date and time come back, pick up the handset, select a line and dial your phone number. When you hang up the restrictions are back in place. To make another restricted call you will need to re-enter Feature 68 and your 6 digit COS password.
