Hi

I was wondering whether it was possible to restrict a website to the UK only. I guessed this would be done by restricting the IP address but need some pointers on how to do this.

You could build a 'password' screeen where folks had to know who Margret Thacher's husband was....

But no group of IP numbers is going to be just for the UK, no. The one thing you can't give for your heart's desire is your heart. - Lois McMaster Bujold

I supose you could put all non-uk-isp hosts on "black list" wich is terribly big
job.Over IP addressies it is not possible as i know.Maybe
to find out,if it is public information, IP addresses scopes that all UK ISPs bought
(call them one by one to ask) and than to build one masterscope that is in the list of allowed hosts on your server. You could also ask from visitors to enter there mail and to build script that
refuse connections from non-uk-isp hosts but that is probably poor solution and it will mostly filter people but not totaly(and it will make refused people angry).
Or,try to find out ip add of device that connects uk internet to rest of the world and build script that refuses
conn that are routed over that interface.Maybe you will need
to cooperate with companies that provide UK internet, for that solution.Any way it seems you need to be well informed
for intended action.
Hope this was helpfull

One add-on.You could build script that trace route(tracert) all ip addresses that connects to you server and if UK
interface to rest of the world is in the list of hops to refuse connection. Sleew
