Can anyone offer tips on restricting direcrory assistance calls?
My users prefer the $1.25 a call method to using the Internet or yellowpages and it is costing the company about $70 a month.

Thanks in advance for your help.

gjegstrup In the ars analysis table insert an entry with 411 deny. Also insert xxx5551212 as deny. When the users dial this they will receive turkey tone. Also be aware that this is going to make you the bad guy. Expect irate callers.

Hope this helps

In stead of ARS Analysis you could use ARS Digit-conversion and send the calls to a local announcement extension telling your colleagues to use the yellow-pages or the internet. This is a little 'nicer' than just Turkey-tone, for which you maybe will receive a lot of helpdesk-tickets...

Home is were you end up when you've got nothing better to do

Also be sure to deny 00, as this will route you to directory assistance of your long distance carrier in the US and Canada. The pesky users will figure it out :)
