I've noticed Users on my W2K Server can go to any XP Workstation & log on to the Server. XP doesn't create a local account on the XP as only the Administrator can create new local users. But XP does create a new domain account.

Is there a way I can prevent this and ensure users only log onto the W2K Server from specific XP Workstations?

Yes, there is a way to prevent this

if u have users created in Active Directory then u can specify users to logon from specific workstations.

Suppose u have created user XYZ and you want this user to login only from the these 2 system (ABC & PQR, You can go to user properties in active directory. Then from select "Accounts" Tab. Under "Accounts" tab go to "Log On To" tab. Here u can provide the compuetrs where these users can log on.

Hope this Helps

Thank you. This works great.

Do you know if there's a way a can apply this to a all users in a group, for example all Marketing Users can only use certain workstations.
