Hi,
I have a client who is unable to use the speed dial system on his cell phone. There's this "restricted" message that appears on the screen of a readout handset when his cell phone speed dial number is called. However calls from cell phones to his cell phone go thru without problems. I do not know if it is the restricted patterns in the programming or just the cell phone rejecting the calls.
The access code is 5 as shown in CM200.

200>0:A126
200>1:100
200>2:803
200>3:803
200>4:803
200>5:A067
200>6:A064
200>7:none
200>8:none
200>9:800
All other clients do not have problems.

How do I remove the restriction if it is in the programming?
We use ips2000 and I can use the MOC mode thanks to this wonderful site and the most helpful contributers. I do have programming manual but find the forum much more easier to follow.

Many thanks.

Ok so first things first! Can you dial the number manually? If not after which digit do you get restricted showing up? Can you dial other mobiles? Can you give us examples of the first few digits (up to the restricted point) and the same number of digits for one you can dial?

No. When the number is dialled manually the 'restriction' appears after the 3rd digit. The number is 725xxxxx digits long. The other numbers start with
71xxxxxx
720xxxxx
721xxxxx
723xxxxx

With mobile to mobile communication there is no problem.

The other clients can be called manually (handset to mobile).

Thanks OzzieGeorge.

Ok so now we need to know what your line access code (probably 9) is set to in cmd 200.

If you want you could see the FAQ on LCR as that is where we are going with this. If you do follow the FAQ the simple fix is to set 725 to the same value as 723 in cmd 8a4xxx!

Ok.I should have mentioned that the numbers(speed dials) are 4 digits long.
The access code is 5 followed by 3 digits (5xxx)
Following the tutorial this is what I have.
200>5:A067
I gather A067 is LCR 3?

8AA00>3:4003
Expanding 4003, this is what I have
8A4003>5011:0050
8A4003>5012:0051
8A4003>5013:0052
.. >5016:0055

The problem speed dial is 5016 and I guess it is pointed to 0055 (on another system?)

I am still trying to figure out the cmd8A4xxx to change the 725 value.

Thanks OZZIEGeorge

You are following the wrong number! That's why I asked if you get restricted when you dial it manually, you need to follow the mobile number through LCR rather than the speed dial number!

First off, A067 is an access code for system speed dial origination, NOT LCR.
Second, 8A4003 is an area code table used for toll restriction. (tables 4000-4004 = toll restriction, 4005-4007 = LCR)
Third, "725" means that the code entered needs to be longer than the number of digits you input.
EX: 200>2>725
200>20>xxx
Expand the number of digits input.
Your original post shows "0" as your LCR access code.
A typical LCR program would look something like this;
8A000>0>4005 = the first LCR table.
8A4005>12>0001 = points area code to another table.
8A0001>1>00130 = the first 3 digits is another table, the last 2 are a trunk route.
200>9>A126 = LCR table 5, or the 8A4005 area code table.

LCR on this system is advanced and can be complex.

Explore for some good cheat sheets on LCR.

Ahhh, got it now!

8A4000>7210:1007- working
8A4000>7211:1007- working
8a4000>7252:none- not working(for problem mobile number)

Changed none to 1007

8A4000>7252:none-1007exe
8A4000>7252:1007 working

Just tested and its working!! Thanks a million OZZIEGeorge and Belevedere for the pointers!!
