hi all experts
On my RS6000 servers all of users see application menu(oracle based) when
they login to system.I want to have Restricted shell for them so that
even if any of them break the menu to get the shell prompt he should remain in
restricted shell.
However when i specify Rsh for them they cant have imported thier enviroment
(i.e su - username command not runs). The users are not able to even login to
the system. However simple su to user remain successfull i.e Rsh is obtained successfully for that user.
Any ideas?????????

Hi -- it might be that rsh is using a different script when it starts up as your users login, what is their usual shell? Have you checked permissions of their $HOME/.profile, if I recall Rsh won't use a .profile writeable by the user.

I hope it works... [sig][/sig]
