After running MBSA across our servers one thing which gets noted by the results is that the RestrictAnonymous setting is set to 1 rather than 2.
I'm trying to find out whether this is safe to change in a Windows 2003 domain environment with Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 servers? Are there any real issues that I should be aware of if I intend to change this setting on all of our member servers? I'm aware from the notes that it might not be a good idea to change it on the Domain Controller's themselves.
Also can it be set via a GPO?
