Any help would be appreciated I have setup an FTP server running Apache 2 in Red Hat 9 everything works fine the problem is that in a command prompt if a user connects to the server she or he can access the whole system can anyone help me restrict them to their directory and only allow them to see that and not browes around my system I know is something simple but I'm really lost Thank you in advance.

so I would have to check my FTP configuration but my question is what does apache do just server the directories for the users. Thank you for the clearence.

Unless you have found a module for Apache 2 that serves FTP, this has nothing to do with Apache.
