When installing software on client pc's using GPO's, what permissions should be on the share where the install files are located ?

Is there a way to make them visible to the computer but not to a non admin user ? (eg to prevent copying for home etc)

Thanks

The Share permission (not NTFS) should be Everyone/Full to allow the execution of .exe's

You can hide the share using "$" - \\Server\ShareName$
