Hello all

Someone just transfered a call to our paging extension. Trust me when I tell you this was very very very bad. Is there a way to restrict certain people from being able to access the overhead paging?

Thanks in advance.

There is both a Dial Access Code (DAC) and a COR associated with Loudspeaker Paging. You can change the DAC or use the COR to restrict access.

Our paging is setup as a 2500 station. Can I still use the DAC or COR to prevent people from dialing it?

Mine is set up the same as a 2500, I only have one COR that is allowed to call my paging COR so no one can dial it internally (or transfer to it) I have a limited amount of users in the COR that are allowed to call the over head cor, then I have an alert in eCAS that tells me if someone dials it and who- if that makes sense -

Yeppir...COR is the way to go, just pick a COR in the middle of the pack that is not being used for anything...assign the 2500 station that your using for paging to that COR...then change the COR of the stations you want to have access to overhead paging and allow only them access to that COR..then at least you know who did what if something "stupid" happens again...

Good Luck
