Hi all! We just had a Dukane MC-350 paging system installed. The system gives off a loop start dial tone for tie in with the PBX. The PBX we are trying to interface it with is a NEAX 1000 IVS.

I have completed the following steps.

Assigned the new trunk via the 10 command
Assigned the trunk type via the 3500 command
Assigned a new trunk route via the 3000 command
Assigned the new trunk route to the keypad combination 85

The problem is that when I lift the receiver and dial 85, I receive a RESTRICT message on the phone display. Anybody have nay ideas what I'm leaving out?

Is your system using LCR? Have you tried assigning a feature code instead of just 2-digit dialing? Sounds like LCR is in place, and the digits are coming up as restrict. Seems to me that the system defaults to having "8" programmed as an outbound route request as well (although my memory may be wrong on that).

Just my 2¢

We do use LCR, but all of our routing is handled by a 2400 IMX which is typically programmed by our vendor. I have used this process at a seperate location that has a 2000 IVS and a different Dukane sound system with no problems using the same 85 key combination.

I'm not sure if it's 2-digit dialing or a feature code. I used the 20 command to assign the 85 to my trunk route, which I have assigned in this case to 150.

Thanks for your help

Brad

The trunk is looking for DC which it is not getting from the page amp.
Make sure you also set the following....
CM 3028>trunk>00
Also make sure 3505>Trk Route>0
