Is there a way to restrict ftp access on AIX to specific users?

Rick

hi there!
cd to /etc.
ls for ftp* and look for : ftpaccess, ftpaccess.heavy, ftphosts, ftpgroups, ftpusers, ftpconversions.

config these files for a restricted access to you AiX ftp server.

good luck!

You need to list your blocked users in the [tt]/etc/ftpusers[/tt] file, you can do that using [tt]smit ruser[/tt] too.

Remember to list one user name at each line in the ftpusers file.

I hope it works...
