Sorry for the lame description...
I'd like to have a computer on the LAN be able to fileshare with one other computer which will have no access to anything else. Is adding a second nic to the computer and directly connecting the easiest way? Or can I just add a router to the lan (I have one lying around) and have it only allow connections to that one ip? It's a win2k on the lan and a win98 that I want to connect to it. (the win98 machine is in the factory so it's just to keep the guys back there from being able to do much with it)
thanx!

If you want to stop that pc from hitting your router and going to the internet, you can simply remove the Default Gateway setting. That pc will then not know where the router is and won't send any packets to it.

If you want to limit that pc to connecting to only 1 specific pc on your network, I don't think you can with win98.

...but you can with the router, as you mentioned.
