Restrict/allow number

Hi all!

Let me explain on example:

I have 1 ISDN number which is connected to PC. On PC I use Asterisk and from Asterisk call goes over VOIP on the other side(it doesn't matter where). When I call that ISDN number, I use "post dialing" to dial number on Asterisk. I want to restrict use of that ISDN number. My idea is to set limitation on MD110, like this:exchange recognize A number(number is from outside of the "my" sistem) and allow post dialing only to "A number" who I set that can dial on Asterisk. If "A number" is unrecognised by MD110, then sistem terminate call. How to adjust MD110 to recognize A number and allow or restict that A number use of ISDN extension? I know, I can set password on number, but then users have to dial to many digits.
Or is there another solution for this problem?

I think you can achieve this with remote extension. what software are you running on the MD110?

How can I achieve this with remote extension? I want to connect PC to MD110 and recognize A number on MD110 and restrict/allow use of that number(in my case ISDN number). Can you explain how to do that?

If I understand this correctly, you using an internal directory number (the ISDN number) as a route access thru the Asterisk to route calls over an IP network. If all you're wanting to do is restrict certain other internal directory numbers from calling the ISDN extension, you can do it in the traffic matrix.

You create a common CAT for the ISDN directory number that puts it in the matrix by itself (value other than 15 for the last 2 digits in the TRAF parameter),then you create another common CAT for all the extensions that you want to allow to call the ISDN number, and then you create a third common CAT for all the extensions that you want to restrict.


For example -
ISDN number is matrix value 1 (TRAFF=xxxxxx01)

Allowed directory numbers are value 2 (TRAFF=xxxxxx02)

Restricted directory numbers are value 3 (TRAFF=xxxxxx03)

Everything else is value 15 (wide open)for the sake of simplicity.

You would modify the matrix by TCMAS:CON=T,A=2, B=1&3;
and TCMAS:CON=T,A=3,B=2; and TCMAS:CON=T, A=1, B=2;


1 can call 2, 2 can call 1 and 3, but 3 can only call 2.

Thanks, but I want to restrict "EXTERNAL" numbers for calling that ISDN extension. I know that I can restrict internal numbers, but I want to filter external numbers for calling that extension. Some numbers can access, and dial numbers on Asterisk(post dialing), and other numbers can`t. I want to recognize external number(A number) on MD110 and restrict/allow use of Asterisk. If someone get the hang of that, he can use my Asterisk for calling international numbers or somethink else. There is a 50 mobile numbers that I want to allow use of Asterisk. If call comes thru PRI(DIGITAL TRUNK) on exchange, MD110 can recognize caller ID. To me it is logically that I can restict external number to be connected with Asterisk. How can I accomplish this on MD110?

again use remote extension:

setup:

users call R1 number, via nutri the called id is linked to the remote extension (only valid numbers will be connected through). users get a second dialtone, users call the number they want. This is the only way you can do this.
